Frequently Asked Questions

For single destination flight + hotel/resort bookings, my planning services are completely complimentary. I earn a commission directly from the properties and suppliers I book, so there's no extra cost to you — and in many cases, I can secure perks like room upgrades, hotel credits, and early check-in that you simply can't get booking on your own.

For certain trip types — customized itinerary-only packages, complex multi-destination trips, or detailed research-only requests without booking — a planning fee may apply. I'll always be upfront about this before we begin, so there are never any surprises.

When you book on your own, you're searching through hundreds of options with no way to know which ones are actually worth it. I've personally visited 40+ countries, and I use that experience — plus my supplier relationships — to cut through the noise and get to exactly what fits you.

Here's what you get working with me that you can't get on your own:

— Access to exclusive hotel perks, upgrades, and credits through my Fora affiliation that aren't available when you book direct

— A curated itinerary built around your style, pace, and priorities — not a template

— Someone in your corner if something goes wrong — a delayed flight, an overbooked hotel, a last-minute change — I handle it, so you don't have to

— Hours of research time back in your day. Booking yourself costs you time. Working with me costs you nothing extra.

I plan travel across a wide range of styles and traveler types, including:

— Solo travel

— Couples and anniversary trips

— Honeymoons and romance travel

— Girls trips and group travel

— Corporate travel and retreats

— Religious group travel and pilgrimages

— College tours and student travel

— Luxury and boutique travel

— Family travel

My specialty regions include the Caribbean, Mediterranean and Greece, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Africa— destinations I've explored personally across 40+ countries. That said, I love a good challenge, and I plan trips all over the world.

It's simpler than you might expect. Here's how it goes:

  1. You submit an inquiry through my Plan Your Trip form with your destination ideas, dates, budget, and travel style. No commitment required — it's just a conversation starter.
  2. We connect — I'll follow up within 48 hours to ask a few clarifying questions and make sure I have everything I need to get started.
  3. I get to work — researching hotels, flights, transfers, dining, and experiences that fit your vision. I come back to you with curated options, not a generic package.
  4. We finalize and book — once you're happy with the plan, I handle all the bookings, confirmations, and documentation.
  5. You travel — with a complete itinerary in hand and my contact information if anything comes up. I'm available before and during your trip.

Yes — and this is one of the most important things that sets me apart. I've personally visited 40+ countries across the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa, and Europe. I don't send clients to places I've only read about. I send them to places I've eaten in, slept in, and explored myself.

You can see proof of that in my travel gallery. Every recommendation comes from real experience, not a brochure.

This is exactly why working with a travel advisor matters. When you book on your own and something goes wrong, you're navigating airline hold times, hotel front desks, and tour operator websites by yourself — usually stressed, often on the other side of the world.

When you work with me, you have someone with supplier relationships and industry access who can escalate issues and find solutions fast. Flight cancellations, hotel problems, itinerary changes — I've seen it, and I know how to handle it.

I'm also a strong advocate for travel protection, which I can include as part of your trip planning to cover cancellations, delays, medical emergencies, and more. I'll walk you through your options so you can make an informed decision.

The honest answer: the earlier the better, especially for international travel, peak travel periods, and group trips.

As a general guide:

— International trips: 3–6 months minimum; 6–12 months for peak seasons, popular destinations, or complex multi-country itineraries

— Caribbean and resort travel: 2–4 months for best availability and pricing — Group travel: 6–12 months — the more people, the more lead time you need to secure rooms, transfers, and group rates — Honeymoons: 6–12 months — popular properties book out fast, especially for peak dates

— Domestic and shorter trips: 4–8 weeks can work, though earlier is always better for pricing.

That said, I've pulled together incredible last-minute trips too. If your dates are soon, reach out anyway — I'll tell you honestly what's possible.

Absolutely — solo travel is one of my specialties and one of my greatest personal passions. I've traveled solo to destinations across the globe, and I understand both the freedom and the unique logistics that come with it.

Whether you're a first-time solo traveler or a seasoned independent adventurer, I plan solo trips that feel safe, curated, and completely yours. No compromises, no group schedules, no one else's itinerary to follow.

Yes, and I love them. Group travel — whether it's a girls trip, a milestone birthday celebration, a family reunion, a corporate retreat, or a religious pilgrimage — is some of the most rewarding travel to plan.

The key to a great group trip is logistics handled before anyone sets foot on a plane. I manage the room blocks, group transfers, shared dining experiences, and activity coordination so the group just shows up and lives.

If you have a group of 6 or more, reach out early — group travel requires more lead time to secure the best rates and availability.

don't sell travel insurance directly, but I strongly recommend it and can walk you through your options as part of your trip planning.

For most international trips especially, travel protection covers things that can be financially devastating without it — trip cancellation, emergency medical care abroad, medical evacuation, lost baggage, and travel delays.

I'll present your options clearly and honestly and let you make the decision that's right for your trip and your comfort level.

What I will tell you: in my experience, the travelers who skip it are the ones who end up wishing they hadn't.

My destination guides are available directly on my Plan Your Trip page. Each guide is a curated, downloadable PDF covering hotels across budget levels, where to eat, what to see, hidden gems, and the best times to visit. They're available for immediate download after purchase through PayPal.

Current destinations include Cartagena, Peru, Porto + Lisbon, Tokyo, and Rome + Florence — with more being added regularly.

The best way to start is by submitting a trip inquiry through my Plan Your Trip page — it gives me everything I need to hit the ground running for you.
